from Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette, “It’s about time.” That was Guy Carbonneau’s response Friday when he was asked about general manager Marc Bergevin’s off-season overhaul of the Canadiens. “I really like what Marc has done,” Carbonneau said during a photo shoot for the marketing firm Groupe MVP. “They still have veterans like Carey Price and Shea Weber and we’ve seen young players like Nick Suzuki and (Jesperi) Kotkaniemi step up. With the moves in the off-season, they’ve added players that have proven themselves in the NHL.”... “They have the ability to put whoever you want on the ice against anyone and that is a huge plus,” said Carbonneau, who coached the Canadiens for parts of three seasons after he finished a Hall of Fame playing career.
