After staring at hotel room walls in Kanata for two weeks, just getting back on the ice for a practice with the Ottawa Senators Sunday was a welcome relief for Ryan Dzingel.
Maybe even more so for his wife, Elise. She had been in COVID-19 quarantine with Dzingel ever since the February 13 trade with the Carolina Hurricanes that brought him back to the Senators in the swap for Cedric Paquette and Alex Galchenyuk.
“I think I was driving her a little crazy,” Dzingel said. “I’m not a guy who likes to be alone. I’ve got to have stuff to do and people to talk to and people to annoy.
